about

Recorded and Produced by H.Ford @ The Cottages.

One of the first songs I wrote after returning home from university. I'd been listening to a LOT of Beatles and I think it must have influenced both the chords and the lyric style of this song!

lyrics

You always act the clown, but Inside you frown
Well yes I think I've sussed you out.
She says you're looking fine and I've heard those lines and I've seen that look before
You think that I'm the fool, but if you only knew you would see that you're so late
Now you're all grown up, wish I could shut you up and send you straight back home from school.

Everything you do seems to bounce right off of you
And find itself stuck right onto me.

How Is That?

You say I waste your time and you've been much maligned
Yes, I really feel for you
Where did we lose the time when I got left behind
People always love the fool
There's nothing you can't do because you can swim drive and cook my food I feel so glad that I met you
Now you're all grown up, wish I could shut you up and send you straight back home from school.
